As a Eucharist-centered movement within the Roman Catholic Church, Life Teen leads teenagers and their families into a deeper relationship with Jesus Christ and His Church. With the Blessed Virgin Mary as our intercessor and guide, Life Teen seeks to unleash the fullness of the Sacramental power present within the young Church.
Throughout the semester, we schedule nights to spend some time with our Lord during Adoration. This is done at Christ the King or St. John's Perpetual Adoration Chapel.
Starting on Ash Wednesday, our youth group teens take a break from our regular schedule and start preparing and practicing for our yearly Shadow Stations performance. Shadow Stations are the Stations of the Cross portrayed behind a screen using shadows, narration, and music.
In July of every year, we head to St. Paul, MN for the annual Steubenville Youth Conference. The weekend is full of praise and worship, faith-based talks, Adoration, games and fun.
Youth Group is awesome...that's why! Jokes aside, youth group offers something teens cannot get anywhere else: the chance to live out their faith in a supportive environment. Being in a group of other teens that share the same faith as you is powerful. We can be proud and open about our beliefs and use them to guide our everyday lives.
The short answer is NO! There are no tests, workbooks, lectures or homework. Youth Group offers teens the opportunity to kick back, have some fun and talk about the issues that they are currently dealing with in their lives all while growing in their faith.
