Christ the King's Parish Council of Catholic Women

About Us

Welcome to the PCCW (Parish Council of Catholic Women) of Christ the King Catholic Church. Our PCCW belongs to the DCCW and NCCW (Diocesan level and National level). As a member of CTK you are automatically a member of the PCCW

We welcome you and encourage you to attend our meetings. There are four meetings per year during the months of March, May, September, and November with a Christmas party in January. Your suggestions and new ideas are greatly appreciated.

PCCW handbooks are available in the gathering room of church to have as a reference during the year.

The PCCW is an active and vital part of our parish. It is through your participation and volunteerism that we are able to continue to be a service to our parish and community.

PCCW Activities

  • Funeral Meals

Meals on these occasions will be served by the circles of the P.C.C.W. on a rotational basis not as an activity, but solely in the spirit of charity and compassion towards the family of the deceased person of our parish.  Volunteer help is always greatly appreciated!

    Funeral Luncheon Process

    1. The funeral home makes the initial contact with parish secretary and/or the PCCW President or VP.
    2. All meals will be catered by a local caterer.
    3. he caterer will work with the PCCW and funeral home to plan the meal
    4. Most catering services bring everything needed for the luncheon.
    5. Any needs (coffee, milk, etc) will be communicated
    6. The PCCW Circle will be responsible for desserts, set-up clean-up and other misc. duties as needed.

    Non-Registered Funeral Luncheon

When a family request of funeral luncheon for non-registered member circles will not be involved in planning. The family will have the luncheon catered (including desserts) and a group of parish women would help in setting up, serving and cleanup of dining hall.

    • A monetary donation is required for utilization of the dining hall and the assistance of the ladies.

  • PCCW Rosary

The Rosary is recited before mass begins during the months of May and October in honor of the Blessed Virgin Mary, our spiritual mother. It begins 20 minutes before each weekend mass begins.

A signup sheet is placed on back table in gathering room of church. Please consider signing up and leading the parish members in praying the rosary.

  • Circle Fundraisers

When your circle is planning their yearly fundraiser, you are asked to please donate your time and/or items that may be needed.

If you are unable to help or to furnish items as needed,

we request that minimum $10 is to be given to your assigned circle chairladies.

    * When you reach the age of 65, please notify your circle chairladies and you will no longer be expected to donate help, unless you desire to do so.

  • Colby Colonial Home Birthday Parties

    PCCW hosts monthly Birthday Party.

    • Second Monday of each month
    • Two to three ladies should be at Colby Colonial Home by 2 p.m.

  • Scholarships

Along with the Holy Name Society, the PCCW contributes $500 towards one of two parish scholarships offered to any graduating senior from our parish. Interested students need to apply for the scholarship. Once the application deadline has passed, the Holy Name Society and PCCW review all applications and select the 2 scholarship recipients.

  • Graduating Seniors Reception

To honor our graduating seniors, the PCCW holds a reception following mass for the students and their families. We provide food/snacks, drinks, and a small gift for each senior

  • CCD Appreciation Dinner

The PCCW shows their appreciation for all our CCD teachers and volunteers by preparing the meal at the annual appreciation dinner. The religious education program covers the cost of the food. This is a wonderful opportunity for the PCCW to give back at no cost

  • Parish Family Picnic

The Parish Family Picnic is made possible by the entire church working together. The PCCW is involved in the planning and prep work. We also provide volunteers to help at the picnic, make food, donate items, and provide any other support as needed

  • Secret Prayer Pals

Prayers Pals is one of the best little things our PCCW does. If you wish to pray for one of your fellow ladies throughout the year and would like someone to pray for you simply sign up at the Christmas party or contact Stacy Wolf. You can remember her with thoughtful notes during the year, a birthday card or any other way you wish. At the Christmas party you will exchange a small gift with your prayer pal and find out who has been praying for you. You can sign-up for a prayer pal at anytime of the year.
